Amazon Fire TV Stick
This HD streaming device from Amazon comes with the new Alexa Voice Remote which includes TV and app controls. The original price of this device is Rs 4,999. However, Amazon is currently offering it at Rs 2,199 after a discount of Rs 2,800 at the ongoing Amazon Great Indian Festival sale 2022.
Amazon claims that the third and latest generation of the Amazon Fire TV device is 50% more powerful than its predecessor and allows Full HD streaming. The 3rd-gen Alexa Voice Remote also allows users to control power and volume on their TV as well as the soundbar. It supports Dolby Atmos and can also be used to mirror content from phones and laptops.
This Amazon streaming device is easy to set up as users only need to plug the Stick into an HDMI port of the TV. Users can also monitor their data usage and optimise it by setting the video quality.
Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite
Amazon’s Fire TV Stick Lite is a made-in-India product and a cheaper version of the original Fire TV Stick. This streaming device comes with the new Alexa Voice Remote Lite that offers app control but it doesn’t support TV controls. The Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite was originally priced at Rs 3,999 and is now available at Rs 1,899 after a discount of Rs 2,100 at the ongoing sale.
Apart from the TV controls, the Fire TV Stick Lite offers similar features and functions available on the original Fire TV Stick. Users can also opt for parental control for these devices and Amazon may charge a subscription fee for this feature.
Amazon Fire TV Stick Plus (2021)
Amazon is offering free annual subscriptions for OTT platforms including — ZEE5, SonyLIV and Voot with this streaming device that was released in 2021. The Amazon Fire TV Stick Plus’s original price along with the subscription values sums up to Rs 7,996 but it is now available at Rs 2,899 after a discount of Rs 5,107.
This streaming device also includes the new Alexa Voice Remote with TV and app controls. Amazon recommends using alkaline batteries with the Alexa Remote for steady performance. The company also mentions that any other power plug or the TV’s USB port should not be used to power the Fire TV Stick Plus as it might even lead to the device malfunctioning.
The Amazon Fire TV Stick Plus offers HD streaming and supports Home theatre audio with Dolby Atmos.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K
As the name suggests, this Amazon Fire TV device supports 4K videos and also includes the Alexa Voice Remote with TV and app controls. This Fire TV streaming device also features Dolby Vision and is available at Rs 2,999 at the Amazon sale (after a discount of Rs 3,000, original price Rs 5,999).
The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K also supports HDR, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos on select titles with compatible home audio systems. This device is compatible with both HD TVs and 4K UHD TVs, however, 4K streaming will require a 4K UHD TV and content that supports 4K resolution.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max
Amazon recommends this streaming device for users who own a router that supports Wi-Fi 6. The company claims that the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is 40% more powerful than Fire TV Stick 4K. This Amazon streaming device was originally priced at Rs 6,499 and is now available at Rs 3,699 after a discount of Rs 2,800 at the e-tailer’s Diwali sale.
Apart from the Wi-Fi 6 integration, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max has similar functions and features to the Fire TV Stick 4K. Users can pair the Fire TV Stick 4K Max with compatible Echo speakers for Alexa Home Theater audio.
Amazon Fire TV Cube
Amazon claims that this is the fastest, most powerful Fire TV streaming device that is offered by the company. This streaming device offers hands-free operation with Alexa and was released in 2021. The original price of the Fire TV Cube is Rs 12,999 and Amazon is offering it at Rs 6,999 after a discount of Rs 5,000 during the festive sale. Moreover, the e-tailer gaint is also offering an extra Rs 1,000 discount for this product.
This device has a built-in speaker and users will need an HDMI cable to connect it with their TVs. Amazon doesn’t provide the HDMI cable and users have to buy it separately.
The Amazon Fire TV Cube can stream 4K ultra HD content and also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Users can also pair an Alexa remote with this device depending on their convenience but Amazon doesn’t provide one in the box.
