Facebook Groups to get Reels, other admin tools: All details

Facebook-parent Meta says that most Facebook users are members of at least 15 active groups and more than 100 million groups are being created every day. With the increasing number of groups on the platform, the social media platform has decided to update the FaceBook Groups feature with new creativity and admin tools. The company says that these tools will make these communities both safe and interactive.
With the update, Facebook users will be able to share Reels on their groups and can even experiment with their group profiles. Meanwhile, group admins will now get the Admin Assist feature and will be able to highlight top contributing members of the community.
New features coming to Facebook groups
The most notable change coming to Facebook groups is the ability for members to share Reels on these communities. Facebook will also allow group admins and other members to add audio, text overlay and filters to these Reels before sharing them.

Users will be able to share a public Facebook group event to their Instagram story. This feature will help group members to showcase their community more widely.
Apart from this, Facebook is also testing some new features for Group profiles. These new features will help group members to customise the information in the About Me section and will even allow users to add an indicator to the group profile if it is open to messaging.
New admin features coming to Facebook groups
Facebook is also testing a new way for admins to highlight top contributing members. Group members will be able to earn points by performing some set of responsibilities in the community. By accruing points, top contributing members will earn badges to feature on their group profiles which will make it easier for admins to select members for roles.

The Meta-owned platform is also testing a new role for admins to recognise active members who help others to socialise. The Admin Assist feature will help group admins to treat fake information in a new way. Moreover, some admins of eligible groups will also have the ability to use additional context and allow some content that might otherwise get flagged by Facebook.
The company has also started a Community Accelerator Program that will offer four months of training for group admins.
