Developer nCore Games has offered a look at Dugong Rock, which will be a new map for FAUG. The map has multiple sections with buildings and an underground area, which could offer several lanes for close-quarters combat. Since the game only has Team Deathmatch multiplayer mode, it would most likely be part of that playlist. Since its release in 2021, FAUG has only added TDM mode and some variations of it so far. Besides these, the developer had promised a battle royale mode to come soon, but it hasn’t been delivered yet. That being said, the game has received multiple updates that introduced new operators, maps, and more.
FAUG has stiff competition in the mobile shooter scene right now, with new games like Apex Legends Mobile and established mobile battle royale games such as BGMI, Free Fire Max, and COD Mobile. Although the developer’s intention behind FAUG was to differentiate itself from its competitors with a dedicated story mode, the mode barely had any shooter elements and the combat felt pretty barebones. Even after adding the TDM multiplayer mode with guns, the game didn’t manage to gain an upper hand over its competitors. It remains to be seen whether the new Dugong Rock map and future updates will bring more players to the game.
