FIFA 23 allows players to disable ‘critical’ commentary: What is it – Times of India

EA has set the official release date for its last FIFA game — FIFA 23 — on September 30. Meanwhile, EA Play is offering select players to trial the game before it eventually launches. New details about the latest FIFA game are starting to emerge from the players who got the opportunity to test the game before it releases officially. One of the features that have been included in the latest title is the option to disable critical commentary (first spotted by Eurogamer). This feature will allow players to turn off commentary that criticises their play.
How to disable Critical Commentary
Players can disable critical commentary in FIFA 23’s settings menu. Here, players can find a box that will say “Disable Critical Commentary”. Checking this box will stop Derek Rae, Stewart Robson and Alex Scott from giving out critical suggestions and advice within their commentary. The feature reportedly needs more development as it didn’t seem to work properly during the trials.
Importance of Disable Critical Commentary option
Enabling this option will stop the commentators from lashing out critical comments can create a negative gaming experience and can even affect a player mentally.
This feature mainly focuses on the children who are playing this game. After having a negative experience with any game, kids tend to stop playing that title, especially when it happens during their initial gaming experiences.
Disabling critical commentary can be helpful for sensitive players and will also stop the game from offering a negative impact on players. In other news, Ted Lasso and his club AFC Richmond from Apple TV+ will also be available on FIFA 23.
