Flipkart revises dates of its Big Billion Days sale, will now start on October 3 – Times of India

Walmart-owned Flipkart has changed the date of its annual festive sale. Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale will now start October 3. The sale has been pre-poned by four days, as it was initially announced to start on October 7.
As per the revised sale date, the Big Billion Days sale will begin October 3 and end on October 10. This means it will be an 8-day long sale, contrary to the former 6-days. The revision seems to be primarily made to begin the Flipkart sale a day ahead of the Amazon Great Indian Festival (GIF) sale. Interestingly, Amazon GIF was initially announced to start on October 4. But, Amazon too has revised its sale date. It will now start on October 3.
So basically, both Amazon GIF and Flipkart Big Billion Days sale will begin the same day. While Flipkart’s will be an 8-day long affair, Amazon’s sale is likely to be a month-long sale. Amazon has not revealed the date as to when GIF will end. Compared to last year, it is expected to run till Diwali i.e. November 4.
Banks offers for Flipkart sale revealed
As part of the upcoming sale, Flipkart has partnered with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank to offer discounts to the credit and debit card holders. In addition, it will offer assured Paytm cashback to the customers.
In the sale, buyers can expect up to 80% off on electronics and accessories including laptops, health care devices, smart wearables, headphones and speakers. On TVs, Flipkart will be offering up to 70% off, while on refrigerators it will be offering up to 50% off and on home appliances, it will be offering up to 70% off. The e-tailer will also unveil new products including smartphones during the sale.
