Former T-Mobile president wants to be Twitter CEO: Read Elon Musk’s one-word reply

Twitter has been undergoing changes at multiple levels since billionaire Elon Musk acquired the company late last month. Over the course of two weeks, the company has attracted criticism from all corners, including users and law-enforcement authorities for the way things are handled at the company.
Following this turmoil at the company, John Legere, who is the former chief executive officer and president of T-Mobile US, offered himself to “run” Twitter. In a tweet, he took thinly-veiled potshots saying that the Tesla CEO struck an “expensive” deal.

While replying to his tweet asking the new Twitter boss to run daily affairs at the platform, Musk simply said, “No”.
Legere has been credited for T-Mobile’s “Un-carrier” approach to contract-free wireless networks. This helped the company revitalise the business and improve its network quality. He resigned as CEO in 2019 following the approval of the merger of T-Mobile and Sprint.
Twitter has been mired in various controversies due to various decisions taken by Musk. Recently, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) also said that the anti-trust agency is “tracking recent developments at Twitter with deep concern. No CEO or company is above the law, and companies must follow our consent decrees.”

Some of the decisions taken by Musk include $7.99 for Blue subscription which led to the growth of fake verified accounts. There have been reports which claim that the platform has seen an increase of racist tweets and hate speech since Musk took over. There has been an instance where a feature was removed but then brought back for some accounts.
Musk has also been in the crosshairs for unceremoniously firing 50% of employees globally, including 90% of staff in India. He has also asked his employees to work 80 hours a week. There will be no free food and he has also banned working from home. A lot of other top executives have also left the company.
