Galaxy S23 Plus and Ultra official press renders leak ahead of Unpacked event
TL;DR
- New renders of the Galaxy S23 Plus and Ultra have leaked.
- The renders may be from official press materials.
Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event is just around the corner. But it looks like the spotlight has been stolen from the show as a timely leak appears to reveal official renders of the Galaxy S23 Plus and Ultra meant for the press.
While we’ve seen our fair share of Galaxy S23 leaks over the last few months, none of them have been official images of the devices. The renders Dutch publication Nieuwe Mobiel claims are from official press materials seem to confirm a lot of what is expected from the two handsets. Both look to have glass bodies with a metal frame wrapped around it, the Ultra keeps its rectangular body and the Plus has rounded corners, and a similar camera setup to last gen’s models.
Departing from the Galaxy S22 family, however, the Galaxy S23 lineup will all be available in four different colors: black, white, green, and light pink. Specifically, these colors are referred to as Phantom Black, Cotton Flower, Botanic Green, and Misty Lilac.
According to rumors, the Galaxy S23 Ultra could come equipped with a 200MP. If this is true, it would be the first time Samsung has tried squeezing that many megapixels into one of its Galaxy phone cameras.
As far as the Galaxy S23 Plus is concerned, there are rumors we could see slight improvements in the battery life with a 4,700mAh battery and a bump up in the selfie camera resolution to 12MP. Outside of that and improvements to the software, it’s not expected that it will be drastically different from the S22 Plus.
