Galaxy S23 Plus, S23 Ultra battery info leaks: There’s good news here
TL;DR
- Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Plus will offer a 4,700mAh battery, a reliable outlet claimed.
- The Galaxy S23 Ultra is believed to offer a 5,000mAh capacity.
Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra delivered a respectable 5,000mAh battery earlier this year, in line with its predecessors. However, the Galaxy S22 Plus received a 4,500mAh battery that was a slight downgrade compared to last year’s Plus phone.
Now, Dutch outlet Galaxy Club has apparently uncovered battery capacity details for the Galaxy S23 Plus and S23 Ultra. And it looks like good news for the Plus variant in particular.
What to expect from S23 Plus and Ultra?
The outlet claims you should expect a rated battery capacity of 4,565mAh for the Galaxy S23 Plus, but a typical capacity of 4,700mAh. By comparison, the S22 Plus had a rated capacity of 4370mAh and a typical capacity of 4,500mAh.
Otherwise, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is tipped to have a rated battery capacity of 4,855mAh and a typical capacity of 5,000mAh (in line with the S22 Ultra). There might not be any changes here but a 5,000mAh battery is still big for a flagship phone. In saying so, we thought the S22 Ultra delivered average battery life, so hopefully Samsung is able to squeeze more juice out of the S23 Ultra battery.
In any event, this is particularly good news for the Galaxy S23 Plus. We were already happy with the S22 Plus endurance, so this small capacity bump is a nice little bonus.
