Samsung’s flagship foldable phone – Galaxy Z Fold 4 – is still a few months away from its arrival. That hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from churning out tidbits about the upcoming phone. The most recent rumour is about the camera configuration of the upcoming Samsung foldable. Notable tipster IceUniverse has revealed what to expect from the cameras on the company’s fourth-generation foldable smartphone.
As per IceUniverse, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 would feature a triple rear camera setup. The tipster suggests that the setup would comprise of a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide shooter and a 12MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom. The telephoto camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 would be of higher resolution than the one on the Galaxy S22 series. The primary and telephoto camera could be the same as those on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+.
In a separate tweet, the tipster suggests that the telephoto camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 would be the best of what Samsung has to offer. The tipster even says that the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s telephoto camera would be better than the telephoto camera on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to debut in the second half of this year. It is said to come with a different aspect ratio, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset and a 4400mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. And the S Pen silo might be finally coming to the foldable after making an appearance on the high-end Galaxy S series smartphone.
