Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition launched: A more customizable foldable
TL;DR
- Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition.
- Consumers can customize the frame, hinge, and covers of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 before buying it.
Samsung held an Unpacked event today, and we didn’t see the likes of the Galaxy S21 FE or other all-new products at the event. But the company still had some foldable news to share, as it revealed the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition.
Harking back to the Moto Maker concept all those years ago, this new initiative will allow US consumers to customize their Galaxy Z Flip 3 on the “Bespoke Studio” platform prior to making a purchase.
Samsung says you can opt for a frame in black or silver, as well as front and back covers in Black, Blue, Pink, White, and Yellow. This allows for a total of 49 potential combinations. It’s not quite as expansive as Motorola’s Moto Maker, which even allowed you to choose the material for the rear cover and add an engraving. But this still gives you some decent scope for customization nonetheless.
We’re guessing that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition is otherwise identical to the standard model. So expect a Snapdragon 888 SoC, 6.7-inch 120Hz foldable OLED screen, a 1.9-inch external display, two 12MP cameras on the outside, and a 3,300mAh battery.
The Bespoke Studio service kicks off from today (October 20), and will cost $1,099.99 for a customized 256GB variant.
