HBO is back in Westeros with the launch of House of the Dragon, the premium cable network’s new Game of Thrones prequel. With that in mind, we thought we’d revisit an old favorite with a new Game of Thrones quiz to test your knowledge while you wait for the next new episodes, streaming on HBO Max.
House of the Dragon takes place about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and chronicles the civil war that took place among the Targaryens, known as the “Dance of the Dragons” in the early days of House Targaryen.

HBO Max is your home for Warner Bros-made movies and TV shows like The Lord of the Rings, the DC Comics superheroes, and more. It’s also the home for new and original movies and shows available nowhere else.
Both shows are based on the novels of author George R. R. Martin. While Game of Thrones is adapted from the A Song of Ice and Fire books, House of the Dragon draws from parts of the prequel novel Fire & Blood. The new series will likely reach beyond the events of the one novel, especially if renewed for several seasons.
That should provide plenty of entertainment as fans eagerly awaiting the long-delayed release of Martin’s two final books in the A Song of Ice and Fire saga.
