Godrej: Godrej announces ‘India’s first’ leak-proof split AC priced at Rs 48,900 – Times of India

Godrej Appliances has launched what the company claims is ‘India’s first’ leak-proof Split AC. The company claims that these new models are designed to offer a permanent solution to combat problems like water leakage, health problems and aesthetics of consumers’ homes. Godrej said that it has also filed a patent for the technology that promises to solve a variety of problems that AC users currently face. These new ACs also offer other features like the 5-in-1 Convertible Cooling technology, i-sense technology and inverter technology that helps in power saving.
Godrej ACs with anti-leak technology: Price and availability
Godrej’s latest ‘leak proof’ split ACs come with 10 years-inverter compressor warranty. These models will soon be available at Rs 48,900 across stores and popular e-commerce platforms. Consumers can also avail easy finance options on it.
What is the new anti-leak technology
The company claims that an estimated 85% of AC consumers suffer from this issue at least once in the product’s lifetime. Moreover, it claimed that the issue also ranks amongst the key AC-related concerns.
To overcome this issue, users either resort to repair services or adopt temporary solutions without getting a permanent solution. This issue also has other costly repercussions like the wall paint or wallpaper getting spoilt and needing replacement, safety issues like electrical short circuits if there are plug points underneath and more. Godrej claims that with this new anti-leak technology, these new AC models will not face such an issue.

AC features
This AC also offers multiple other relevant technologies and features such as 5-in-1 Convertible Cooling Technology that can be set based on the number of people in the room and help save energy. It is also equipped with i-sense technology to match the set temperature for comfort and powerful cooling even at 52°C with lower derating.
These new models also have inverter technology for power saving and eco-friendly R32 refrigerant that has zero ozone depletion and low global warming potential. In addition, it has 100% copper coils and connecting pipes and anti-corrosive blue fins are fitted for efficiency, durability and resistance to corrosion.
