What is continuous scrolling
Earlier, the search result has shown 10 blue links, although it offers users up to 100 search results per page through Google Preferences. With continuous scrolling, Google has made it easier for users to view more search results by simply scrolling down the page. Users can browse up to six pages of the search results by scrolling down until the ‘more’ option appears. On the other hand, Google limits the number of continuous scrolling to four pages at a time.
Unlike infinite scroll, continuous scroll does not show results infinitely. It stops after some pages and that’s why Google does not call it an infinite scroll.
“Now, when you scroll down you’ll continue to find relevant results so that you can discover new ideas. When you reach the bottom of a search results page, up to six pages of results will be automatically shown until you see a “More results” button if you wish to continue further,” Google added.
Google Photo Picker
Google has reportedly started testing a new feature which is gallery-focused– a photo picker for its Messages feature.
9to5Google earlier reported that the redesigned photo feature has already started appearing for some users on the Google Messages app.
The report also suggests that the new photo picker can be launched from the left side of the text fields and shows the recently clicked pictures under the live camera alongside the Gallery option next to it.
Users will now be able to see 22 more images by swiping left and also get a shortcut to open the camera.
