Google Chrome: Google Chrome browser: Android smartphone users worried about your data, here are important tips
How to delete your browsing data from all devices at the same time
If you have logged in your Android tablet and smartphone with the same email ID, your entire browsing data — including pages you visited, downloaded files, saved passwords, and autofill entries — will show in both. However, before you start worrying, there’s a way to delete it and ensure its erased in all your Android devices. If you want to sync a type of data, deleting it on your Android device will delete it everywhere it’s synced. It’ll be removed from other devices and your Google Account. Here’s how to do
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
- Tap More and then Settings
- Tap Privacy and security and then Clear browsing data
- Choose a time range, like Last hour or All time
- Select the types of information you want to remove
- Now Tap on Clear data.
In case you don’t want all your data to be erased but a part of it, say there’s option to delete individual items too. Instead of deleting all categories of your browsing data, you can pick items to delete, the list will include:
- Page you visited
- Downloaded file
- Saved password
- Cookies from a website
- Autofill entry
You can choose the ones you want to delete.
