Google has finally confirmed that it will be expanding the Chromecast with Google TV availability to more countries including India and three more countries in addition to eight other countries in Europe.
You heard it right, Google has officially confirmed the launch of the Chromecast with Google TV in India. The device’s only rival will be Realme’s Google TV streaming stick in India.
The device will launch in three other countries including New Zealand, Taiwan and South Korea. The company has also confirmed to FlatPanelsHD that it will provide official sales of the streaming device.
Google will be launching the streaming device in European countries — Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, and Austria — on June 21. Launch dates for India, New Zealand and South Korea haven’t been announced yet by the company. It is also important to note that the Chromecast with Google TV hasn’t been listed on the official Google store in these countries as of now.
Pre-orders of the streaming device is live in Taiwan at a cost of $1,999.
Google has confirmed that the device will receive new features based on the region. The device supports 4K resolution, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and comes with 8GB of onboard storage.
