TL;DR
- Google has revealed that the Pixel 7 series will launch in fall 2022.
- The phones will be equipped with a next-generation Tensor SoC and Android 13.
Google has kicked off day one of its I/O developer conference with a bunch of announcements, including the Pixel 6a mid-range smartphone. However, the company also had another surprise in store when it confirmed the Pixel 7 series was coming later this year.
The search giant confirmed that the Pixel 7 series is coming in fall 2022, also giving us fleeting glimpses of the phones from a few angles. These images broadly line up with renders leaked earlier this year. Check the official images at the top of the page and below.
We still see that familiar rear camera visor here (albeit made out of aluminum), along with a dual rear setup for the standard phone and a triple rear camera combo for the Pro model. So those hoping for a vanilla Pixel with a flexible triple camera layout might be disappointed.
Google also confirmed that the phones would be powered by a next-generation Tensor processor and would ship with Android 13. Otherwise, we’ll just have to wait for Google’s fall release window to officially learn more about the handsets.
What do you think of the Pixel 7 series designs?
