However, other than displaying Android 12’s Material You design capabilities, the tweet gave viewers a glimpse at the upcoming Google Pixel 6 Pro. The Pixel 6 Pro is Google’s upcoming flagship smartphone announced recently that is said to take on Apple’s soon-to-be-launched iPhone 13 series. The photos shared by Lockheimer allegedly show the phone’s screen resolution and its under-display fingerprint sensor.
Little doubt that Lockheimer deleted the tweet almost minutes after it was posted, but yes not before some Twitter users could take screenshots. The photos shared by Lockheimer make it clear that the upcoming Google flagship smartphone too will have under-display camera, similar to the one on Samsung’s latest high-end foldable phone — Galaxy Fold Z3. As the photo has Android 12’s lock screen with a fingerprint symbol on-screen just below the clock.
In 2020 too, Google’s senior VP of hardware Rick Osterloh shared screenshot of Pixel 4a, revealing its hole-punch display. Osterloh shared the photo while sharing a tweet to celebrate a personal milestone in Fitbit.
