Google has brought something new for its users — a new one-tap button that lets you share notes before a Google Calendar meeting. Google is bringing new updates to workplace and G Suite users that lets you create a group chat with everyone attending the meeting. The idea is to tap a button near the guest list to begin the conversation directly, irrespective of being on the web or a smartphone.
The one-tap button would not function with people outside your organisation. The rollout that began on September 20 is more of a rapid release for the web users, while mobile users will have to wait until October 4.
Google has been trying to unify its workspace web apps, inclusive of Gmail’s growing role as a hub for having a conversation with people at work. The new added feature to the calendar can be a logical extension of the future updates from Google. This new update could make Google’s chat service a convenient choice for meeting organizers who need to start a conversation with their colleagues.
In other Google-related news, the tech giant has announced that the ‘locked folder’ for Photos app will be arriving soon for all the Android users running version 6 and above. This feature allows the users to hide selected photos from the main search grid provided in the android devices. It also helps to keep the photos away from other applications which might as well have access to them.
