Google has stopped selling this Pixel smartphone
NEW DELHI: Google Pixel 4a is no longer available on the Google Store. Launched in August 2020, Google Pixel 4a has been removed from the Google Store less than two years after the launch. However, the 4G-enabled smartphone is available for purchase in India via various e-commerce platforms. The company will continue to offer Android versions and security updates till August 2023.
Spotted by 9to5Google, the tech giant has removed its mid-range Pixel 4a smartphone from the Google Store. The smartphone was sold in 12 countries via the Google Store. The company has also removed the smartphone from the India Google Store. However, you can still purchase the smartphone in India from Amazon and Flipkart. Google Pixel 4a is presently available at Rs 31,999.
Google Pixel 4a specifications
Google Pixel 4a features a 5.81-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The display supports HDR and is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor paired with Adreno 618 GPU and Titan M security chip. The smartphone packs 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Google Pixel 4a runs Android 10 and comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The device bets big on camera and claims to offer a similar camera experience when compared to the Pixel 4, featuring HDR+ with dual exposure controls, Portrait Mode, Top Shot, Night Sight with astrophotography capabilities and fused video stabilisation. Google Pixel 4a sports a single-lens 12MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, LED flash, Dual PD autofocus, and 4k video recording support. There’s also an 8MP front camera with an ultra-wide lens.
Measuring 144x 69.4 x 8.2mm, the handset is backed by a 3140mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
