NEW DELHI: Apple launched its much-awaited iPhone 13 series of smartphones earlier this month. Now people are eagerly waiting for Google to launch its Pixel 6 series. Now an online report suggests that Google has scheduled a launch event for October 5, but the company is not planning to launch its Pixel smartphones at the event.
As reported by XDA Developers, Google is planning to launch its next-generation Nest, Travel and Map products at the event. XDA Developers’s Mishaal Rahman shared a screenshot of a now-deleted CNET article that talks about the event. As per the screenshot, Google is expected to unveil new smart speakers and security devices on October 5. Along with this, the company is also said to announce the new changes coming to Google Maps and Google Flights.

The article also makes it clear that the company will not launch its Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones at the event. Various online reports suggest that Google is expected to launch the smartphones on October 19. The handsets are expected to go on sale starting October 28.
Google has already showcased the design of the upcoming Pixel smartphones and has also confirmed that they will be powered by the company’s own custom made Tensor chipset. The company has also revealed that smartphones will come with bigger camera modules. The Pixel 6 has a regular 50MP main and 12MP ultra-wide camera and the Pro version has a 48MP telephoto unit.
