Google Photos is getting one of the most awaited features. The photo and video gallery app is finally getting the ability to edit the time and date of media saved in it. The feature is already available on the web version of Google Photos. The new change, first spotted by Twitter user Adil Ahmed Channa, comes to the mobile app.
Users can edit media information right from the app
The ability to edit the time and date of photos and videos saved in Google Photos was not built-in to the app. Users had to rely on third-party applications to change media information. But now, time and date can be altered from the app itself.
The ability is available for both Android and iOS app versions of Google Photos. To begin using the feature, make sure that the Google Photos app on your device is running the latest version.
How to edit time and date of media in Google Photos
For Android users who want to change the time and date of videos and images in Google Photos, the app will show a new edit button. It will be available next to the time and date when a user swipes up on an image and a video.
Google Photos iOS app will not have an edit button option. This means iPhone users can simply tap on the date and time to make changes.
