Google Photos is getting a new feature to make accessing screenshots faster
Google Photos for Android has received a new update that allows users to directly navigate to the screenshots section. Android Police has reported that the feature is available in Google Photos version 5.97 and newer and it allows users to find the screenshots faster via a shortcut.
According to the report, Google Photos app now comes with a new dedicated shortcut that directly navigates users to the list of screenshots. The shortcut is accessible from the Photos home screen icon via the long press menu.
For those unaware, the icons on home screen come with a separate long press menu that offers access to common features or settings of that particular app. For instance, if you’ll long press on the Phone app, it will show you the list of the recently dialled number, search, new contacts and more. Similarly, long pressing on the Camera app shows shooting modes.
Similarly, Google Photos now shows a new ‘View Screenshots’ option along with I’m Feeling Lucky and Free Up Space.
Tapping on the ‘View Screenshots’ option will directly take users to the screenshot folder within the Photos app.
Meanwhile, Google has also started rolling out new information for photos backed up on web. As a part of this, the platform will show users the amount of data that photo is consuming out of your included 15GB of cloud storage.
