The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will support the second generation Qi-based Pixel 6 stand, with the former supporting 21W wireless charging and the Pro supporting wireless charging at 23W. Both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will have support for 30W wired charging. The Pixel 6 Pro would take 30 minutes to reach 50% of battery capacity with a promised battery life of more than 24 hours on 5G. Moreover, as confirmed earlier, the Pixel 6 duos won’t come with a charger in the box.
The new Tensor chip will be powering the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The chip packs some machine learning prowess enabling offline message and video translation while improving performance as much as 80% compared to previous. The Tensor chip also features the Titan M2 security chip.
As far as optics are concerned, the Pixel 6 will come with a dual rear camera setup, including a new 50MP sensor that captures 150% more light than the last year’s Pixel 5 and a 12MP ultrawide camera. Meanwhile, the Pixel 6 Pro would come with one more camera on the back, a 48MP telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom and Super Res zoom, allowing users to zoom up to 20x. The Tensor’s new custom ISP will bring new camera features to the new Pixel smartphones, such as Night Sight, Portrait Mode, Magic Eraser, and Face Unblur.
