According to Jon Prosser, the Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro will be up for pre-order on October 6th, we can speculate they will be announced on the same day. The lineup will hit stores from October 13th. Nothing has been said about India’s availability just yet.

Google Pixel 7, Google Pixel 7 Pro launch date

The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are the company’s upcoming flagship offering and were originally confirmed at the I/O 2022 event back in May. These will be announced on October 6th and be up for pre-order on the same day. The phones will launch on October 13th. These details are tipped by noted leakster Jon Prosser and considering his track record with the Pixel 6 dates last year, these dates might be legit.

Pixel 7 series specifications

The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are confirmed to be powered by the 2nd generation Tensor chipset and the hardware details of the same will be revealed during the launch event in October. The phones will pack up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that might not be expandable any further. They will likely boot Android 13 OS out of the box. The display on the phone is said to be brighter than the Pixel 6 series from last year and the Pixel 7 Pro might feature a QHD+ 120Hz panel. Design wise, the front portion remains the same as the Google Pixel 6, but the rear camera module appears to have undergone a slight design makeover.

Moving to optics, the Pixel 7 series camera details have been leaked online. The primary sensor is said to be the Samsung GN1 sensor, which will be paired with Sony IMX381 ultra-wide-angle camera. Both Pixel 7 devices will have an 11MP Samsung 3J1 sensor on the front for selfies with dual Pixels, which is claimed to improve the overall quality and allow semi-secure face authentication. They both are likely to have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and 5G network connectivity.
