Google Pixel 7 hands-on shows prototypes in full
TL;DR
- Unbox Therapy has posted a Google Pixel 7 hands-on video.
- The video shows prototypes for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
- These will differ slightly from the retail models, but they still are worth a look.
Google is probably going to launch the Google Pixel 7 series at some point in September. However, as per usual with Google, we already have extensive leaks and even official information about the phones, so there likely won’t be too many surprises.
These are clearly prototype versions of the phones, right down to the prototype rear logo where the Google “G” would be. However, they are probably pretty close to what we’ll see from the retail versions of the phones, with perhaps some subtle changes.

Most importantly, though, these prototypes work. You’re able to see the screens on, judge how big the bezels are, and compare them to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. It’s a pretty enlightening Google Pixel 7 hands-on.
With this, we pretty much know everything about the Pixel 7 series except for one thing: the price. We expect Google to stick to the pricing of last year’s devices. If that ends up being the case, the Pixel 7 could cost $599 and the Pixel 7 Pro could cost $899. Those numbers will likely be the only unknown by the time Google gets around to launching the phones.
