Google Pixel Watch showing inaccurate calorie count for some users, Google is working on it

Google Pixel Watch is the first Wear OS device to offer Fitbit integration and for the most part, it brings the goodness of Fitbit services to its users. However, the integration has run into a major bug where the Pixel Watch is reportedly recording inaccurate calorie counts. Google has acknowledged the bug and is working on it.
Android Police has reported that some Pixel Watch owners have reported irregularities in calorie counts on their Pixel Watch in comparison to other smartwatches and fitness tracking devices like Galaxy Watch 5 or Apple Watch.
According to the report, the difference between Pixel Watch’s calorie count and other smartwatches is big. Do note that the calorie counts are never 100% accurate on any device. However, here users have reported some big differences. Usually, smartwatches take into consideration several factors like heart rate, activities, age, height and weight to calculate the calorie count and Pixel Watch is no different.
The report suggests that Pixel Watch is recording up to 50% higher calorie count compared to Galaxy Watch 4. Google has also confirmed the issue and mentioned that this is happening due to a software glitch.
As per the report, the calorie count can be wrong due to the wrong information about the user wearing it. Also, if the user information is wrong, the calorie count will always be wrong. This can be fixed by simply making the user information correct within the Fitbit app.
Google has also clarified that the calorie count is working fine during workouts and if it is wrong, then the user information is wrong within the Fitbit app.
