Google Play Points, as mentioned, is a reward program offered by Google. It’s a point-based reward system that users can earn by making purchases on Google Play Store and its services like subscriptions. These credits can be used on the app store for making purchases, buying subscriptions, renting movies and more.
Google Play Points has four levels — Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Each level offers different perks and prizes to users. The level depends upon how many points users have collected.

Google Play Points: How it works
Google Play Points offers points to users on their purchase made on Google Play that includes in-app purchases, movies, books, games and more. Apart from that, users can also earn points by trying featured free apps and games.
Google Play has also partnered with developers of popular apps and games across the world to help users redeem their points for special in-app items. In India, the company has partnered with over 30 titles that include games from global studios such as Miniclip (8 Ball Pool), TG INC (Evony: The King’s return), games from local studios such as Gametion (Ludo King), Playsimple Games (Word Trip), Gameberry Labs (Ludo Star), and popular apps such as Truecaller and Wysa. The list, according to Google, will expand over time.
These Points can be redeemed for special in-app items offered by developers, Google Play Credit which can be used to buy new games, apps, rent movies, subscriptions and more. Here’s a list of all the places where these points can be used.
