Google releases Android 13 February update for Pixels – Times of India

Google is releasing the monthly software patch for the Pixels. Since it is February, Google has released the February update of Android 13 to the eligible Pixel smartphones, including Pixel 4a, 4a 5G, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, and 7.
The Android 13 February software update for Pixels fixes 17 security issues of different vulnerabilities ranging from high to critical, also updating the security patch to February 2023. Further, the update also squashes some of the known bugs for the eligible Pixels.
The build number for the global Pixel variants is TQ1A.230205.002, for those in Canada will be updated to the build TQ1A.230205.001.B2. Meanwhile, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro users will receive the build TQ1A.230205.001.A2.
Android 13 February update fixes clear calling for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro
The February update fixes the issue on the Pixel 4 and later, where users were prevented from touch interactions with the Braille keyboard. Further, the update irons out the issue with Bluetooth, which prevents connection with some Bluetooth devices and accessories. Also, the issue which occasionally prevented the calendar information from updating in the background in the Work profile has also been fixed.
As for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, the February patch resolves the issue with Clear Calling. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro users were facing instability during calls with Clear Calling enabled.
How to update Google Pixel
To update your Google Pixel, head over to Settings, then System, and tap System Update. Now, tap “Check for update.” If available, the update will be downloaded and installed. You will need to restart your Pixel after the installation to finish the update.
Google is readying the March update, which will include the Pixel feature drop. The Android 13 QPR2 beta 3 is already out, which irons out a bunch of issues and also introduces a few new features.
