Google Remove Images for Teens: Google gives teens, parents an option to delete their images from Search |

For kids, teens and their parents, a big worry of being on the internet is images being misused or falling in the wrong hands. To combat this issue, Google has implemented a new policy under which anyone under the age of 18, or their parent or guardian, can now request the removal of their images from Search results. In a blog post, Google said that “we know that kids and teens have to navigate some unique challenges online, especially when a picture of them is unexpectedly available on the internet.”

How to request the removal of images from Google Search

In order to get images removed from Google Search, here are the steps that you need to follow:
Visit the Help Page to understand the information you’ll need to provide when using the request form.
On the support link, you can request removal using the designated form.
Next, fill out the form to report the images that might be appearing in results.
In the form, include information like:
Once the request is made, Google will review it and reach out for any additional information it might need to verify it meets the requirements for removal. Google will notify users once it has taken down the image, subject to meeting the set requirements.

“We believe this change will help give young people more control over their digital footprint and where their images can be found on Search,” said Google in the blog post.
