Google to fix this bug affecting Play Store’s web client – Times of India
For the past few weeks, several users have reported an issue with the web version of Google’s app store. The bug was blocking users from viewing the app update changelogs on the web client of Play Store. Now, the tech giant has reportedly confirmed the existence of the bug affecting web users and has promised to that app changelog will return soon
Bug affecting Play Store’s web version
The issue was first reported in the first week of January. This bug only affected the web client of the Google Play Store. However, the Play Store app on Android continued showing the changelogs without any alterations. 9to5Google has also reported this bug.
How Google is reacting to the issue
According to a series of tweets posted by Twitter user named Artem Russakovskii (who is also the owner of APK Mirror), Google has reportedly confirmed that this was a simple bug. The tweet also mentions that the chnagelog will be arriving soon. The company is expected to patch the minor issue with an update.

In other news, Google previously raised an appeal against the judgemnet of Competition Commission of India’s (CCI). The government-led National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has refused to grant a stay on the company’s appeal. Last month, Google approached NCLAT to appeal the CCI decision to penalise the tech major Rs 1,338 crore. The company was fined for abusing its position in the Android mobile device ecosystem in several markets.
