Google will bring this UI change with the next WearOS device

Most smartwatches running WearOS are expected to be worn in a specific orientation. They ideally are worn on the left wrist so that the crown or the physical button on the device is easily accessible to the right hand. While there is nothing stopping it from wearing on the right hand, try it and you will notice how inconvenient it is to use the buttons.
Google WearOS at present does not support flipping a watch’s interface 180°. This means that if you wear a smartwatch on your right hand, the orientation of the device remains unchanged. But this may change soon. As per a report by 9to5Google, Google has finally resolved the issue.
A feature request on Google’s issue tracker is now marked resolved. “Our development team has implemented the feature you have requested and will be available on future new devices”, the company wrote. However, the feature will be available with future devices only. This means that devices currently running on WearOS 3 will not get the ability to flip the UI orientation.
There is no timeline as to when the WearOS will gain the ability to be worn upside down. But when it does, it is expected to come in the form of a toggle in the settings. One challenge that may need to be addressed is how WearOS will invert the scrolling direction of the rotating crown. It is likely that future WearOS devices may also invert the button positions with more than one button.
