How does the feature work
The feature adds to the existing ability to use downloaded or custom sounds from the Files app or your on-device internal storage. Now, a new option will appear in the Clock app in the “Your sounds” section with the “Record new” button that is now available.
Once the feature is available on the Pixel device, users can practice the feature using the ‘Record new’ sound button, which will launch the Recorder app. After recording the alarm sound, the clip will appear with a date and time as shown in the Google Clock app along with the Google Recorder application.
Additionally, users can also delete the custom alarm recordings saved in the Google Clock app by tapping the three vertical dots and hitting ‘Remove’. Since it is a server-side update, sideloading Google Recorder v7.3 is unlikely to bring the functionality to the device.
