Google’s latest Wi-Fi router supports Wi-Fi 6E, mesh connection and is also a Matter hub – Times of India

Alongside the new Doorbell and updated Home app, Google has also introduced its latest Wi-Fi system – Nest Wi-Fi Pro. The latest Wi-Fi router features a new advanced mesh Wi-Fi system along with Wi-Fi 6E technology for better and more reliable connectivity.
The Wi-Fi 6E enables the Nest Wifi Pro to offer better coverage, speed and reliability compared to the Wi-Fi 6 routers. For those unaware, the Wi-Fi 6E is one of the newest Wi-Fi standards and the E means ‘extended’. The Wi-Fi 6E standards also come with a new 6GHz radio band that provides a better range and also supports twice as much as the speed of Wi-Fi 6.
The Nest Wi-Fi Pro also comes with constant network analysis which monitors the network performance and optimise it to provide congestion-free connectivity.

The new Nest Wifi Pro is compatible with Google Home app which can be used to set up the device and use it. The app also lets users monitor their network, run speed tests, share Wi-Fi passwords and set up a guest network.
Using the app, users can also manage kids’ connections, and use parental control features such as Wi-Fi scheduling, restricting Wi-Fi access for bedtime or dinner time and also block unsafe content.
Nest Wi-Fi Pro also includes a built-in Thread border router so you can connect all your Thread smart devices to your home network.
Shortly after Matter, the new smart home protocol, launches, you’ll be able to use your Nest Wi-Fi Pro router as a Matter hub, too. It will control and connect to all your Matter-enabled devices, making it that much easier to manage and add devices to your smart home in the future.
Matter comes with Google Nest Wifi Pro
Like other Google devices, Google is also bringing Matter to its new Wi-Fi mesh router. Upon Matter rollout, users can use the Nest Wi-Fi Pro as a Matter hub and it will work with all Matter-enabled devices.
Nest Wifi Pro is priced at $399.99 for a three-pack. It’s also available at $299.99 for a two-pack or $199.99 for a one-pack. It will be available online and in stores on October 27, with pre-orders beginning October 4.
