Halo Infinite Multiplayer: Microsoft has a surprise for Halo fans – Times of India
The Halo series is all set to mark the comeback of Microsoft’s most popular gaming franchise with the launch of Halo Infinite on December 8. The series turned 20 on November 15 and on this occasion the developer has a surprise gift for all Halo fans out there.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series, the company has surprisingly dropped the multiplayer mode of the Halo Infinite ahead of the official launch next month.
This means, the Halo Infinite multiplayer mode is out now and is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as a playable beta for free. Players can jump into the game to get the first glimpse of the upcoming Halo title before official launch.
The multiplayer beta includes content from the first season that allow players to play, customise their Spartans and rank up. Also, all the development in the multiplayer beta will be carried out to the final version upon launch as well.
The Halo Infinity Multiplayer beta has a download size of around 25GB on both console and Steam. After initial issues in downloading the game, as reported by The Verge, the game is now available for all players and working fine.
If you are wondering whether your current PC will be able to run the game or not, Microsoft has dropped the complete system requirements of the game on its official blog post.
Just to add, today’s Halo Infinite drop is just the multiplayer beta with Season 1 content. The full version of the game including the Campaign mode will launch on December 8.
