Here are the new features it adds
Action role-playing game Death Stranding’s Director’s Cut has launched today. The Director’s Cut of the critically acclaimed title comes with new content and enhanced gameplay features. The single-player game can be purchased for Rs 3,499 on PS5.
An important thing to note is that Death Stranding Director’s Cut has launched only on the PS5 and it will not be available on PS4 or PC. If you already have the PS4 version of Death Stranding (the base game) and wish to upgrade it to The Director’s Cut on PS5, you can do so by paying $10/£10 extra.
The Director’s Cut of the open-world game comes with more weapons like the mounted machine gun, equipment for delivery like cargo catapult, support skeleton and a buddy bot too to help you out, new vehicles and game modes, new story missions and areas to explore, expanded storylines and upgrades to the UI. There will also be new online features including Friend Play and Leaderboards on PS5, which will be added soon as part of the Director’s Cut. Also, the Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077 content introduced to Death Stranding on PC also comes as part of Death Stranding Director’s Cut.
PlayStation 5 exclusive features
With the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback, players will be able to experience the environmental effects in the game. They can also enjoy the 3D audio with compatible headphones.
The Director’s Cut for the PS5 comes with two picture modes: Performance mode with scaled 4K and up to 60FPS or Fidelity mode in native 4K -both with HDR support.
The game also comes with a Widescreen Mode and uses the PS5’s 16:9 aspect ratio to display letterboxed gameplay equivalent to 21:9 aspect ratio.
