Here’s a real-life look at the Motorola Razr 3
TL;DR
- Prominent leaker Evan Blass has posted a video clip that appears to show a real-life Motorola Razr 3.
- In the clip, someone folds a powered-on device in half.
- The phone looks a lot like the Razr 5G (aka Razr 2) with some subtle differences.
In the world of foldable phones, one name reigns supreme: Samsung. However, there are certainly other players on the field, one of which being Motorola. While the two Razr phones it’s launched so far haven’t been runaway successes, the third time might be the charm.
Today, we have a substantial leak of what we assume will be the Motorola Razr 3. In a short clip shared by Evan Blass, a pair of hands folds up a phone that looks a lot like the Razr 3’s leaked designs.
We’ve mirrored the clip below. Check it out for yourself.
Motorola Razr 3 closing up
Considering the phone appears to work, the authenticity of this leak is pretty certain. It is very likely that what we see in the video is either a retail version of the Motorola Razr 3 or a very late prototype.
As expected, the phone’s design isn’t a drastic departure from what we saw on the original Razr and its sequel, the Razr 5G. However, when folded, you can clearly see the new dual-lens camera module, which we’ve already seen in leaked CAD designs.
Other than that, though, there isn’t too much more revealed from this clip. The phone still has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, still comes skinned with My UX, and appears to be about the same size as its predecessors.
What will ultimately make or break the Motorola Razr 3 will be its price and availability. If Motorola can keep the price relatively low and deliver it to customers who don’t use Verizon, it might stand a chance against Samsung’s similar Galaxy Z Flip 4. Time will tell.
