Here’s how much you’ll be spending on Poco F3 GT in India (Updated: Launch date)

TL;DR

  • The Poco F3 GT will retail for roughly Rs 30,000 (~$403) in India, a company executive said.
  • This would make it cheaper than the Nord 2, according to rumored pricing for the OnePlus device.
  • Poco has since announced a July 23 launch date.

Update: July 16, 2021 (4:33 AM ET): Poco confirmed earlier this week that the upcoming Poco F3 GT would retail for roughly Rs 30,000 (~$403), but it didn’t give an exact launch date at the time.

Fortunately, the company has now revealed on Twitter that the device will launch on Friday, July 23 at midday IST (2:30 AM ET). So we only have a week to go, with the launch taking place a day after the OnePlus Nord 2 event.

Original article: July 14, 2021 (8:02 AM ET): The Xiaomi-affiliated Poco brand has teased the launch of the Poco F3 GT in India for a while now, and it’s expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition that was launched in China earlier this year.

Now, Poco India country director Anuj Sharma has told India Today that the upcoming phone will retail for around Rs 30,000 (~$403). This could be a pretty competitive price tag in India, as the OnePlus Nord 2 is rumored to come in at Rs 31,999 (~$429).

Sharma also told the outlet that Poco was initially looking at an August or September launch but is now aiming to launch the Poco F3 GT this month.

The Poco F3 GT is indeed a rebadged Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. So that means Indian customers are getting a Dimensity 1200 flagship-level processor as well as retractable shoulder buttons for use in various games.

Poco’s upcoming phone is also expected to offer a 5,065mAh battery, 67W wired charging, a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED screen, and a triple rear camera system (64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro).
