Here’s what Elon Musk has to say on problems he faced after acquiring Twitter – Times of India

Elon Musk acquired Twitter late in October 2022 and brought a lot of changes to the company. These changes include firing over 50% of employees, changing some policies, and relaunching Twitter Blue subscription, among others. During a recent trial related to Tesla, the billionaire gave a glimpse into the personal challenges he faced after taking command of the social media company.
While replying to a tweet, which had a story on the Tesla trial, by the Wall Street Journal, Musk said he saved “Twitter from bankruptcy.”
“Last 3 months were extremely tough, as [I] had to save Twitter from bankruptcy, while fulfilling essential Tesla & SpaceX duties. Wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone. Twitter still has challenges, but is now trending to breakeven if we keep at it. Public support is much appreciated!” Musk tweeted.

In a separate tweet, he said, “To be extra clear, Twitter is definitely not financially healthy yet, but is trending to be so. Lots of work still needed to get there.”

Twitter ads revenue is down
Musk has been in the line of fire of various analysts, authorities and activists for the way he handled working at the company. This is among a few more reasons why several companies paused advertising on the platform when Musk took over the reins of the company.
In various instances in the past, he shared engagement numbers on Twitter to woo advertisers. In fact, he mentioned in one of his tweets that Twitter’s “daily user count and total user minutes are still strong but engagement on some accounts is weirdly low.”

Twitter ironing out smaller issues
A Twitter user showed support to Musk and asked him to “fix the algorithm visibility issue.” The user complained that Twitterati is “tweeting almost no audience while our feeds are still very empty.”
Replying to this tweet, Musk said that the company has found and corrected some issues, and is working to uncover some fundamental ones.
“We’ve found & corrected some smaller issues, but there is something fundamental that we haven’t uncovered yet. Top priority for Twitter this week,” Musk noted.
