Here’s what the next iPhone may be called
Apple is expected to launch the third-generation of iPhone SE this year. The device is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2022. Rumour mill has already been abuzz with likely specs and features of the upcoming phone. Now, a tipster named Ross Young has revealed the alleged name of the 2022 iPhone SE model.
According to the leakster, the phone may be called Apple iPhone SE + 5G. Along with 5G connectivity, the device is tipped to come with a 4.7-inch LCD screen. It also adds that the fourth-generation of Apple iPhone SE could either be launched in 2023 or 2024. It is rumoured to come with a 5.7-inch display. The screen is expected to be an OLED one.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg in his latest Power On newsletter predicted that Apple will hold its first event of the year in March or April. It is expected that the company may announce the first iPhone of 2022 – the next iPhone SE with 5G connectivity at the event. In the newsletter, Gurman wrote: “Apple gets ready for its first virtual event of 2022. Apple’s first virtual event of 2022 is coming up in just a few short months and is likely to take place in either March or April, I’m told.”
As per earlier claims by analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young, the third-generation iPhone SE would get an upgrade in terms of the chipset and get the A15 Bionic like the iPhone 13. The iPhone SE 3 is also expected to get a storage boost and may ship with just a single 128GB storage option this time.
