Here’s when new Galaxy foldables, Galaxy Watch 5 series could launch

TL;DR

  • Tipster Jon Prosser has claimed that Samsung’s latest foldables will be announced on August 10.
  • The devices will apparently release to market on August 26.
  • The Galaxy Watch 5 series will purportedly share these launch and sale dates as well.

We’re expecting the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldables to launch in Q3 2022, and it looks like a frequent tipster has dished out an apparent launch date for the upcoming devices.

Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech has tweeted that the two foldables will be announced on August 10, with pre-orders said to kick off on this day as well. However, the devices will apparently launch on August 26 alongside a Galaxy S22 series device in Lavender.

Staying with colors, Prosser adds that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be available in Graphite, Bora Purple, Pink Gold, and Blue colorways. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is set to launch in Phantom Black, Green, and Beige colors.

There’s no word on pricing just yet, but rumors point to both phones being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. It’s also believed that the Fold 4 will gain a 1TB variant and that the Flip 4 will be available with up to 512GB of storage.

Galaxy Watch 5 series launch/availability

These aren’t the only Samsung devices coming down the pike, though. The leaker claimed that the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will be announced and available for pre-order on August 10 as well, with availability from August 26.

It’s believed that the 40mm Galaxy Watch 5 will be available in Phantom Black, Pink Gold, and Silver colorways, while the 44mm model will arrive in Phantom Black, Silver, and Sapphire options. Finally, the 46mm Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is tipped to arrive in Phantom Black and Silver colors.

Prosser has delivered accurate leaks in recent months (Pixel 6a availability, Galaxy S21 FE release date), but he has been wrong a few times before. So we’d still take these latest claims with a tiny pinch of salt.
