Hero-owned Qubo expands auto tech segment with Dashcam Pro 4K – Times of India

Hero Electronix’s consumer technology brand, Qubo entered the auto tech segment with the launch of the Smart Dashcam. Now, the company has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new product — the Dashcam Pro 4K. This camera will allow car owners to record videos from their vehicle’s dashboard in Ultra HD (4K) resolution. Dashcam Pro 4K sports an LCD screen and supports special features like advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Qubo has also introduced an advanced model of the Dashcam Pro 4K that features a rear camera to provide dual recording (front and back).
Qubo Dashcam Pro 4K: Price and availability
Qubo is offering the base model of Dashcam Pro 4K (front camera only) at an introductory price of Rs 9.990. The advanced model that features both front and rear cameras will carry a price tag of Rs 12,990. Both models will be available on Qubo’s official online store.
Qubo Dashcam Pro 4K: Key specs and features
The front camera-only variant of Qubo’s Dashcam Pro 4K sports a 2.8-inch LCD screen that can also display live streams. However, the advanced model has two cameras where the secondary (rear) shooter can record videos at 1080p resolution and can also be used as a cabin camera for the vehicle.
The front camera is a Sony IMX 415 sensor while the back camera houses the Sigmastar SSC8629G sensor. The cameras ensure high-quality video recording even during low-light conditions.
Both cameras claim to be fully operational in temperatures between -5 degree Celsius to 65 degrees Celsius. Both models of Qubo Dashcam Pro 4K are also equipped with LED indicators and are compatible with Wi-Fi.

The Dashcam Pro even supports some special features like — time-lapse, inbuilt GPS, and user-friendly app access. ADAS is a security feature that will warn users in case of — lane departure, forward vehicle motion detection and when a vehicle is detected ahead.
Apart from this, this device also offers certain video recording features like Loop recording where old footage is overwritten to save storage space. Meanwhile, the emergency event recording lock features automatically save videos in case of an event.
The Dashcam Pro comes with a Record on Demand feature that allows users to control the recording time, whereas the parking mode can capture events while the car is parked. This device comes equipped with an H 265 Codec that helps users to share files easily without compromising on quality.
Users can connect their Dashcam Pros to the Qubo Pro app which is needed to access and share the videos.
