Honor announces the name of its first foldable phone – Times of India
Smartphone brand Honor has reportedly been working on a foldable phone for some time now. The device is expected to be announced sometime in the first quarter of 2022. The company has now revealed the name of its first 5G flagship foldable phone. The device will be called Honor Magic V.
Honor has earlier confirmed that its upcoming flagship phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It is rumoured that Honor Magic V could be Honor phone with the new chipset.
Honor Magic V will feature an inward folding design. In the process of closing both sides of the internal tablet-sized display, the letter V will be formed.
Honor Magic V rumoured specs
Honor Magic V is expected to feature an 8-inch internal display. It will feature a resolution of 2200×2480 pixels. It is rumoured to pack 8GB RAM with an internal storage capacity of 256GB.
On the camera front, the handset may come with a 108MP camera with 9:1 pixel binning. This means it will be able to deliver 12MP images when the environment is less than ideal for taking photographs.
Other sensors that may be available on the phone are an ultra-wide lens and a telephoto camera. At the front, the foldable phone may be equipped with a 16MP camera for selfies.
The device is expected to house a 4,500mAh battery. Honor Magic V may run on Android 11 operating system.
