Honor X40 GT launch date confirmed, tipped to feature Snapdragon 888 chipset – Times of India

Honor has officially confirmed the launch date of its X40 GT smartphone in China. The smartphone is set to launch on October 13 in China. The company has confirmed the same via Chinese website Weibo regarding the arrival of another X-series smartphone.

The launch event is scheduled for October 13 at 7:30 local time (5:30 PM IST) in China where the company will unveil its upcoming Honor X40 GT smartphone. Price and other details of the smartphone will be announced during the launch event.
Honor X40 GT: Expected features and specifications
According to rumours on Weibo, the Honor X40 GT handset is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The RAM and storage specifications are still under wraps.

As per the official teaser released by the company, the smartphone is expected to feature a large camera ring on the rear which may house three sensors alongside an LED flash with a ‘GT’ branding on it.
Buyers can pre-reserve their smartphone via Honor Mall website or other online retailers like Tmall, Jingdong, Douyin and Suning.
Huawei X40i: Features and specifications
Earlier this year, the Shenzhen smartphone maker launched X40i in China. The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ LTPS LCD display with 1080×2388 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset and offers up to 12GB RAM. The smartphone runs Android 12 OS topped with the company’s own layer of Magic UI.
For optics, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s an 8MP sensor on the front for clicking selfies.
