How this new bug in Destiny 2 is “scaring” players – Times of India

Bungie has recently released a new raid called the Season of Plunder for Destiny 2 which began with the game’s showcase event that highlighted the direction the franchise will proceed in the coming days. The developer has confirmed that next year’s Lightfall expansion will take players to a cyberpunk city on Neptune and will include a new psychic spiderman Strand subclasses among other additions.
However, the Destiny 2 community’s new raid release has been interrupted by a “loud” bug. According to a report by PCGamer, some players who die during the Golgoroth fight in King’s Fall are left with “ringing ears” as a deafening roaring noise kicks in.
What is Golgoroth in King’s Fall
King’s Fall is a raid from the first Destiny that has returned to the game as seasonal content. The report mentions that Golgoroth, who is the second boss in King’s Fall, is a beast more famous for “the maze heading into the fight than for the fight itself.”

This enemy comes with a considerable amount of health, waves of enemies and a mechanic that forces players to shoot little orbs. Apart from this, the new Season of Plunder also allows players to shoot themselves out of the cannon to fight space pirates.
How is the new bug affecting players
The report mentions that several players have complained on Reddit and other platforms about this “scary” noise that can be harmful if you are “playing at irresponsibly loud levels.” As per the report, the sound is so loud and scary that with the right earphones players can get some real damage to their hearing.

Bungie’s reaction to the new bug
Bungie has revealed that the company is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. The company has publicly stated that the bug exists in a tweet from the official Bungie Help Twitter account. Bungie has recommended players lower their audio output while fighting Golgoroth until a fix is implemented.

However, this might not be the most significant bug affecting the new Season of Plunder, the report claims. Another bug forced Bungie to disable everyone’s grenade launchers, the report notes.
