How to change text size for each app in iPhone and iPad
iOS15 is set to bring several new changes and features to iPhones. Features like new privacy settings, Focus mode, etc are on the top of the list. However, there are some features that just go unnoticed until you need them. The ability to change text size separately for each app is one such feature.
Omar Shahine, vice president of product, Microsoft 365 posted the feature on his Twitter handle and as the name implies, the feature allows users to change the text size for a particular app based on the need and requirement. The feature can come handy when you want to fit more content on the screen and reduce unnecessary scrolling.
Also, when you want the text to be bigger for easy readability. Until now, you were stuck with the standard text size for the entire device which applies across the user interface and apps.
Wondering where to find it and how to use this feature, follow our step-by-step guide:
Do note that the feature is available in iOS 15, so to use it you will either need to install the public beta (learn how to install iOS 15 Public beta on your iPhone) or wait for the official rollout.
Open Settings and head to Control Center option
Now, tap on More Controls and look for Text Size and tap on ‘+’ sign right next to it.
After this, the Text size option will be added to the Control Center.
Now, open the app for which you want to change the text size
Swipe down from the top right corner to bring up the Control Center and choose Text size option
A new user interface will appear showing a toggle at the bottom and a scrollable UI for adjusting the text size.
Ensure that the toggle is set to the app’s name (like Facebook only) and adjust the text size by sliding up and down.
Once done, tap anywhere and quit the Control Center all together. The app’s text size will be changed.
