How to enable automatic battery saver in Windows 11 to boost laptop’s battery life
Windows 11 brings a lot of new features, changes and additions. However, the most noticeable change is the new redesigned user interface of the operating system.
Talking about new features, the Windows 11 operating system includes an extensive battery management option and also comprises an improved battery saver option.
Those who don’t know, the battery saver option allows users to extend the battery life of their Windows 11-powered devices like laptops, tablets, etc. Users can also enable or disable it as per the need or they can even customise a couple of settings to make it more effective.
Wondering where to find this option and how to use it? Here’s our step-by-step guide:
Press Start button and type Settings
Under ‘System’ menu option, click on power & battery option
Now, click on ‘Battery Saver’ option placed under the Battery section
To manually turn it on, click on ‘turn on now’ button
To enable it automatically, choose the battery percentage from the drop down menu, just below the ‘turn on now’ button
Here, you can also choose to lower the screen brightness when battery saver is enabled. To do that, simply choose ‘On’ from the drop down menu against ‘Lower screen brightness when using battery-saver’ option.
Once everything is in place, your laptop or tablet will automatically trigger the battery saver when it reaches the set battery level.
To boost your battery life, you can simply enable it manually even if your battery is full. But, do keep in mind that in battery saver mode, the overall performance of the device will be reduced and you might notice some lag.
