As of now, the company has rolled out the update for Android smartphone users in India. One of the key features that came along with the update is free call recording.

The feature allows users to record all incoming and outgoing calls. All recordings are stored locally on the phone. The feature was so far available to paid users, but will now be available to all users with smartphones running on Android 5.0 or higher.

1.

Open Settings on your Android smartphone and go to Accessibility.

Turn on the Truecaller Call Recording toggle. You will see a prompt that reads “Allow Truecaller Call Recording to have full control of your device? Truecaller Call Recording needs to: Monitor your operations”. From the options, tap on OK.

4.

Now open the Truecaller app on your smartphone. Make sure that you installed the latest version of the app.

5.

Tap on the menu button with three lines on the top left corner of the screen.

6.

Scroll down and tap on Call Recordings.

7.

You can access, share and delete your call recordings from the Call Recordings section in the app.

Apart from this, the company has also announced a Video Caller ID feature with the update. This feature allows users to record a short video that plays automatically when you call friends and family. Apart from recording a selfie video, users can also set a Video Caller ID using one of the built-in templates.
