How to set reminders in Google Messages app – Times of India
Google is working on improving its Messages app in order to give tough competition to its rival iMessage. The Android app offers multiple useful features which enhance the messaging experience of the users. One such feature is to set reminders in Google Messages.
The Google Messages app enables users to set reminders which enable them to reply to important conversations timely. You just have to follow a few simple steps to set reminders in the Google Messages app.
Step 1: Open Google Messages on your phone
Step 2: Press and hold a conversation
Step 3: Now tap on the alarm clock-shaped icon placed in the upper-right corner
Step 4: After this select the date and time suitable for your reminder
Recently, Google marked the 30th anniversary of SMS with the introduction of end-to-end encryption for group chats in the Messages app. End-to-end encryption is presently available to Messages users who participated in the beta program recently.
“This means that all one-on-one texts sent using Messages by Google, for example, are encrypted, so they’re private and safe and can only be seen by the sender and the recipient. And now, end-to-end encryption is starting to roll out for group chats and will be available to some users in the open beta program over the coming weeks,” said Google.
Meanwhile, Google announced several new additions to its products aimed at bettering how people in India interact with the internet and Google’s products, including search, Android, and more during its annual ‘Google for India’ event. Some of the key announcements at the event include a new Multisearch in the Google app, bringing DigiLocker to Android, and fraud detection in Google Pay, among others.
