How to stream Hallmark holiday movies

It’s that time of the year again! With Christmas just around the corner, entertainment companies are pumping out holiday movies and specials, and no one does it like the Hallmark Channel. Hallmark holiday movies are the gold standard for cheesy, comforting Christmas fare.

It’s easy to poke fun at Hallmark movies. They’re formulaic, with predictably happy endings. Nowhere is that truer than in their holiday offerings. You can usually expect some minor conflict — a flight cancellation, a rival inn, a new boss who plans to shake things up — and a neat and tidy resolution before the credits roll.

Hallmark knows how to give the people what they want.

If you like them, I have some good news for you. Hallmark produces lots of these. This year, the channel is launching 40 new titles. That’s not a typo. 40 brand new holiday movies. If that’s not enough, you can revisit one of the 40 from last year.

It’s hard to resist the feel-good energy these movies put out. The holidays can be stressful and hectic, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. So, why not take some of the pressure off with a movie that asks nothing of you, except that you enjoy the gentle ride and get swept up in the holiday spirit?

The Hallmark Channel is a traditional cable TV channel. Throughout the holiday season, from October until Christmas, Hallmark rolls out new holiday movies every year, available exclusively on the Hallmark Channel.

The most straightforward way to watch those movies is unfortunately a little retro. You’ll have to go through your local cable provider to get the Hallmark Channel.

Are Hallmark holiday movies streaming?

Hallmark is still mostly a cable channel, but that doesn’t mean you’re out of luck if you’ve cut the cord. Your easiest streaming option comes in the form of third-party agreements. Some Hallmark holiday titles are available on various streaming services, although you won’t find a one-stop shop for all of them.

Cord cutters who want Hallmark Christmas movies do have options.

If you want this year’s batch of Hallmark Christmas movies, you’ll have to go straight to the source, which means the Hallmark Channel itself on cable.

Luckily, there are ways to bridge the gap between cable and streaming. Sling TV is one such service, which gives you access to numerous cable channels, including Hallmark. There are others to choose from too, like Fubo TV, Philo TV, Frndly TV, and more.

You can sign up for any of those to watch live on the Hallmark Channel or save films for later viewing on the services’ various cloud storage options.

What new Hallmark Christmas movies can I watch this year?

As always, Hallmark has gone all out with new holiday-themed original movies, just in time for Christmas. You can see the full “Countdown to Christmas” list of films on the Hallmark Channel website.

Below are a few titles to look forward to or get caught up on:

  • A Kiss Before Christmas
  • Nantucket Noel
  • Christmas CEO
  • A Christmas Together with You
  • The Nine Kittens of Christmas
  • Christmas at Castle Hart
  • A Very Merry Bridesmaid
  • Making Spirits Bright
  • Christmas in Tahoe
  • Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday

Those are just a few of the new Hallmark holiday movies you can watch this year either with a cable subscription or by signing up to a streaming service that gives you access to live channels.
