How to take a screenshot on Snapchat without notifications
Snapchat is one of the most popular photo and video sharing platforms. It allows users to share snaps that automatically disappear after 24 hours. You might have come across some snaps that you wanted to save without letting the other person know.
Unfortunately, there’s no official way as Snapchat informs others when someone takes a screenshot of their snap.
But fret not, there are a couple of workarounds that give users the option to take screenshots of snap without notifying others. Here’s our step-by-step guide:
Method 1: Using Google Assistant
The first and perhaps the easiest way to capture a screenshot of a snap without telling others is taking help from Google Assistant. Simply open Snapchat and head to the snap you are to save. Now, ask Google Assistant to take a screenshot by saying Ok google or by long-pressing the power button.
The only caveat of this method is that the screenshot does not automatically get saved to the gallery.
Method 2: Airplane Mode
First, open the snap and then turn on Airplane mode on your smartphone. Now, take the screenshot and save it. Turn off Airplane mode.
You can now head to your gallery to check the screenshot.
Method 3: Screen recording
The last method is using the Screen recording feature of the smartphone. For this, open the snap and turn on the screen recording. Record for a couple of seconds and stop the recording. You can also record the complete snap, in case it’s a video.
